"Even though my main concern in life is to get food, I can't help but enjoy Chrissy's Pilates class. She comes directly over and pets, hugs and kisses me. I wag my tail with delight each time I see her approach. I take the best nap while she is hard at work making humans do strange things with their bodies using rubber bands, rings and porcupine-like pillows with her soothing voice. She complements me on my deep breathing and stretching capabilities, too! My only recommendation to Chrissy is to have a doggie treat (or 200!) available at each class. She is a wonderful teacher! "I never cared too much about exercise, but I noticed that there was a teacher coming to give class in our building on something called Pilates.  I'm 57 years old and I thought it was time for me to do something to become more physically active. When I came to the Pilates class, I was met by a very youthful looking woman who had a vivacious glow about her. She explained that Pilates is all about strengthening your inner core, alignment of the body, correct breath, and isolating and articulating every muscle to improve your posture and balance. Christine is an excellent teacher who gives everyone hands on individual attention. I've learned a lot about my body that I didn't know and feel that I've benefited enormously from working with her".

"My name is Tom and I have been working with Christine since the summer of 2012.  Previously we had worked together on performing for Le Grande Continental dance group.  The group consisted of people at all levels of dance. I was at the amateur end while Christine was more on the professional level. During rehearsals Christine was very helpful in providing extra guidance. This enabled me to get through the performance successfully and in the interim made me feel good about myself. It was definitely a confidence booster.  Once the performance ended Christine offered me a Pilates session in her studio. We worked hard in the first session covering a good deal both physically and mentally.  The session turned out to be very mind relaxing after a hard day’s work. The one to one session offered me a chance to be myself to someone who was very understanding. Christine in the two months subsequent has been able to motivate me somewhat out of my shell (we are still working on this) and build self confidence as well as physical conditioning. The physical conditioning has been instrumental in helping me maintain my rehabilitation from a major heart attack several years ago. I am now up to 11 miles cycling with no problem thanks to the breathing and exercise techniques attained with Pilates. Mental well being is just as important.  I was previously thinking about retirement, but since I’ve been working with Christine I realize I have some additional career goals to attain and am motivated to move on and accomplish these rather than step back.  I encourage anyone to try a workout with Christine and let the journey begin."
